Here is our Pentecost 2020 pictorial Calendar (Traditional Rite)! It is a digital file that spans from Pentecost Sunday, through the octave of Pentecost and through the month of June which is dedicated to the Sacred Heart.
I created this calendar for all people, most especially children, who want to enter more fully into this season of the beautiful Catholic Liturgical year. I have illustrated each of the Sunday gospels, and the gospels for each day of the Octave of Pentecost which includes the Ember days. The saints feasts are also illustrated, designed, and placed such that the saints seem to be entering into the celebration of the mysteries of Christ's life with us, the church. The borders are inspired by medieval illuminations and the chant for the season flows throughout the calendar. It is my hope that with minimal effort on the part of parents this calendar will help the whole family at a glance to see where we are in time and space according to this season of the church.
This file is made to be downloaded and printed on your home printer. The 6 pages can then be easily taped together (2 across and 3 down) to make a large banner. It is black and white so the children (or adults) can easily color it in themselves. It is my hope to make more such calendars for other liturgical seasons of the church. I welcome your feedback! *Please note that this is the TRADITIONAL RITE calendar and not the new calendar -- it is my hope to make both in the future!
IMPORTANT NOTE - We are still finishing up the supplement that goes into detail about the Calendar, feast days, symbols, translations, etc. We will send out the supplement to all of our buyers once we complete it very soon!
Another quick note*** Though we encourage those that are able to purchase their own copy, please know that you are welcome to print and distribute this calendar to others - we request everyone's prayers so that we will be able to continue making future calendars for each of the liturgical seasons.
